3rd Edition of Diabetes and Endocrinology World Conference 2027

Scientific Sessions - DEWC 2027

Diabetes and Infection Susceptibility

Diabetes can affect immune responses and can increase the risk of certain infections, especially in case of impaired metabolic control.

In this session, we will consider the complicated interplay between glucose metabolism, immune responses, infection risk, and outcomes. We will cover immune cell responses, inflammatory signaling, defense responses, skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory infections, urinary infections, metabolic consequences of infections, and glucose regulation-immune response interactions. Scientists may also talk about preventive, screening, detection, and correct management options.

This session will include diabetologists, infectious disease specialists, immunologists, microbiologists, endocrinologists, and public health experts. During the Diabetes and Endocrinology World Conference, we will pay special attention to multidisciplinary approaches to the prevention of infections, early detection, proper treatment, and diabetes control during infections.
